Welcome to Carey Psychology

Welcome! My name is Kristine Carey. I am a registered psychologist committed to helping adults and adolescents improve their emotional health and well-being. 

I use proven therapies and practical tools tailored to meet each person's unique needs. I often support people using well researched treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Schema Therapy.

I understand that therapy can be a daunting experience, and that is why I strive to create a warm and compassionate environment where people can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I am able to offer support for the following concerns:

Nature Walk 

Walk and talk sessions involve combining traditional therapies with nature walks. We will meet at an agreed location, discuss confidentiality and how the session will progress. The time spent walking, and the pace, will be adjusted to meet your personal preferences.  If you do not want to walk during a session for any reason there are undercover areas in each of our walk locations to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. Sessions run for 50 minutes and end with a brief overview and time spent organising the next session. 

Online Counselling 

I currently offer online sessions via phone or video call.  With online sessions you get the flexibility to meet in the environment of your choosing.  After you have your perfect space set up, I will bring the authentic human connection. Sessions run for 50 minutes and end with a brief overview and time spent organising the next session.
